Reporting jointly to the Secretary Treasurer and an Associate Superintendent, the Director of Information Technology, with a team of dedicated IT technicians, ensures the stable and progressive operation of the School District’s IT infrastructure, serving the hundreds of end-users, both educational and business, over multiple sites in the district. 

With a keen focus on delivering excellence and customer service, the Director of IT brings a high level of technical competence and expertise to optimize key functional areas including network, server and email infrastructures, student information systems, and business systems.  A lifelong learner with an eye for continuous improvement, the Director of IT ensures the optimal operation, maintenance and upgrades of systems that meet the needs of end-users and stay current with both changing user needs and technological advances.

A seasoned, modern, and empowering leader, the Director of IT collaborates with Senior District Leadership to set a vision and strategy for the continuous delivery of systems services, while leading alongside a professional team of technicians to operationalize that vision. The Director of IT understands how to support internal partners to satisfy end-user requirements and to ensure technology operation, support and services resources are appropriately focused and deployed.

In addition to exceptional interpersonal, communication, strategic thinking and analytical skills, the Director of IT thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to manage multiple competing priorities.  The ideal candidate for this role should bring a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent, with 8-10 years progressive experience managing all aspects of system, network and infrastructure operations.  The hallmark of success is in the Director of IT’s ability to use their expertise and people leadership skills to execute the IT strategic and operational work plans, with passion, innovation, authenticity, determination, compassion and integrity.
