Ron Pound, B.Ed., M.Ed.,Consultant Emeritus

Ron is now retired and our Consultant Emeritus offering advice as needed to our clients. When he was past Principal Consultant, Ron drew on over 35 years of experience in both public education and in the private practice of psychology.

Much of his career in public education was spent with the North Vancouver school district as an elementary and secondary teacher/counsellor, a school administrator, and nine years as Director of Human Resources.  Ron also spent two years with the Vancouver School Board as Manager of Human Resources responsible for the district’s 90 plus elementary schools including staffing and labour relations.

Ron was seconded to the BC Public School Employers’ Association (BCPSEA) in 2005.  In addition to district liaison responsibilities, equity hiring programs for aboriginal educators, training in hiring practices, Ron’s work focused on human resources best practices.  He played a key role in the development of a number of innovative initiatives including the development of the makeafuture.ca recruitment portal in 2008.  He went on to develop the executive recruitment initiative for senior leaders in K-12 education.

With the reorganization of BCPSEA services 7 years ago, Ron moved into executive recruitment services. We thank Ron for his stellar impact working with school districts around the province assisting Boards of Education in the recruitment of senior leaders to district teams.
