As the third largest school district in the province we are located within a 40 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.  The school district has a population of 30,000 students with approximately 3500 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff, an overall operating budget of $245M and a very active capital program.

You are an inspirational, self-aware and visionary leader able to bring together teams of people to provide “learning without boundaries for all students in our system, no matter what their circumstances.”  Compassionate, respectful and strongly principled, you are an open communicator who is able to work cohesively with a team, build positive labour relations, and work effectively with district partners.

In addition to a graduate degree, you have school and senior leadership experience and are eligible for membership with the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch.  A strategic thinker with a record of making ethical and effective decisions to support student learning, you have a history of sound financial management and are committed to leading the way in educational change.

You will leverage your strong sense of integrity and superb communication skills to build relationships and provide guidance to the Board of Education and collaborative leadership to the staff of the District.  You will continue to build on the District’s progressive and innovative reputation — attracting the best and brightest people to work in Coquitlam School District.   With a belief in, and support of accountability, you will balance the role of education leader with the business side of education.
